The 2023 Grand Hike Registration is Closed.

  

We've had a fantastic amount of interest in Saturday's Grand Hike, and unfortunately, we've had to close registration. If you've signed up online, please click here for all the details about the event. Thanks for your enthusiasm!

  

EXCITING NEWS! We're returning this year to our long-distance Grand Hike on an almost 14-mile walk through beautiful forests and fields. We will have three "oases" along the way, where you'll find snacks, water, portapotties, and a chance to mingle with other hikers.  Plus, if you want to complete a shorter but still great hike, you can catch a shuttle back to the finish line to the party!

  

This fabulous hike starts at the  McAuliffe Road Trail-North Trailhead in Willsboro, NY.  It ends at the new Mountain Dog Restaurant & Pub in Westport, NY, where you can join the "après hike party" featuring live music, drinks, food to purchase, an outdoor games area, and a post-hike celebration.

Everyone is welcome to attend the après hike party, which we invite the community to participate in. So, if you can't make the hike, you can come to the party.

  

ALL THE GRAND HIKE INFORMATION YOU EVER WANTED TO KNOW

  

WHEN: The Grand Hike is on Saturday, May 6th. Check-in starts at 9:00 am and ends at 10:30 am. The "après" party starts at 2:30 pm and ends at 7 pm.

  

WHERE: Hikers will check in at Ballard Park in Westport and catch a shuttle bus to start the hike at McAuliffe Road Trail’s North Trailhead (junction of Sunset Road and McAuliffe Road) in Willsboro, NY. The hike ends at Mountain Dog Restaurant & Pub in Westport, NY.

  

FAQ:

• Where should I park? Park throughout Westport, NY (along the street or other local parking areas).

  

• Can I bring my dog? Your leashed, four-legged furry friends are welcome to hike but cannot ride the shuttles.

  

• Do you have a description of the hiking route? Yes! You can click here to take a look at the description of the hiking route.

  

• What if I can only walk part of the 14 miles? We will have shuttles running throughout the day that will stop at every oasis to provide rides back to Westport for those that do not wish to do the full hike.
