Essex, NY—Ben Cosgrove's enchanting melodies will once again fill the air at the Champlain Area Trails (CATS) Essex Quarry Nature Preserve. Scheduled for June 29th at 5 PM, this unique musical event is brought to life through a collaboration between CATS and Piano By Nature, promising an unforgettable experience for all attendees.
Renowned pianist Ben Cosgrove will captivate the audience with his unique performance at the Quarry’s scenic amphitheater of limestone “benches” surrounding the pond whose frogs may accompany Ben’s songs. Drawing from his extensive travels across the United States, Cosgrove's repertoire is a mesmerizing blend of original instrumental compositions that delve into themes of landscape, geography, and the environment. His music elegantly bridges the realms of folk and classical music.
In expressing his enthusiasm for the return of this event, Chris Maron, Executive Director of CATS, said, "Hosting Ben Cosgrove at the Essex Quarry Nature Preserve perfectly embodies CATS' commitment to connecting people with nature. Through this collaboration with Piano By Nature, we look forward to offering another exceptional outdoor musical experience that accentuates the natural beauty of the Champlain Valley."
Piano By Nature, known for its dedication to presenting intimate concerts highlighting rare and contemporary compositions, is equally thrilled about the concert.
Rose Chancler, Artistic Director, shared her excitement: "Bringing Ben Cosgrove back by popular demand underscores our mission to deliver unique musical experiences that deeply resonate with our audiences. This concert will be a beautiful expression of our dedication to fostering connections between the community, artists, and the environment."
Donations will be collected at the event's entrance to help cover the expenses of this unforgettable night. The suggested donation is $20 per adult and $5 for those aged 15 and under. Cash or checks are preferred. For more information about the event and the organizations involved, please visit their websites at pianobynature.org and champlainareatrails.com.
