The Farm And Forest Hike at The Adirondack Harvest Festival on Sept. 24th

Join CATS for a pre-festival hike on the Westport Loop Trail at the Adirondack Harvest Festival at 10 am. This easy, 6-mile loop begins on an old RR bed that goes into wooded hills that lead to farmland, crosses RR tracks back into the forest, loops by the Hemlock Hill Trail to the Woods and Swale Trail, and takes a scenic road back to Westport. Pull into the Essex County Fairgrounds parking area behind the old Cornell Extension Building and follow the trail signs. Registration is not required!  

The Adirondack Harvest Festival will return to its one-day, in-person format at the Essex County Fairgrounds. This will be the first time the event has fully returned to the Essex County Fairgrounds for one large in-person event since 2019. The event will follow the same format as past festivals, with a large farmers’ market, local food trucks, local libations tent (beer, mead and wine), demonstrations and talks, kids’ activities, farm animals, and more.
