Trails Update and Beavers!

TRAIL UPDATES!

The Long Valley trail is reopened.  The trail passes through a heavily logged area, so hikers should stay on the logging road.

There is high beaver activity at the Art Farm and Eagle Mountain preserve.  

Art Farm: The berm by the pond is full of puddles and is muddy, but a great place for beaver viewing in the evening. 

Eagle Mountain: Beaver dams on the Eagle Mountain trail created a challenging environment, with water knee-deep.  Plan on bringing along water shoes for a 400-foot walk across the flooded area.
