CATSWomen is a volunteer-led hiking group. This group of women - of all ages and abilities! - creates a safe and encouraging space for female hikers to become more confident in their outdoor adventuring.
Lyon Mountain, at 3830 feet, is the highest point in Clinton County and the highest point north of the Saranac River. We will snowshoe the new 7.1 miles (roundtrip) trail that winds to the summit and fire tower. The trail has an overall elevation gain of 1900 feet, and if the weather cooperates, there are views of Montreal to the north, the Green Mountains and Vermont to the East, and the high peaks to the south.
