Join the CATSWomen Hike: Explore the gulf unique area!

  

Are you ready to experience the beauty of nature and boost your confidence in the outdoors? Join CATSWomen, a volunteer-led group dedicated to empowering women of all ages and abilities, for a scenic hike in the stunning Gulf Unique Area in Mooers, New York. This welcoming environment is perfect for building friendships and enhancing outdoor skills and is supported by Champlain Area trails.

  

Event Details:

- Hike Location: Out-and-back trail to the Gulf Unique Area in Mooers, New York

- Trail Distance: 6 miles

- Difficulty Level: Easy-Moderate (with 285 feet of elevation gain)

- Estimate Duration: Approximately 5 hours

  

Hiking Experience:

This is a really special hike, complete with beaver activity, water crossings, interesting botany, a waterfall and an international border!

Schedule:

- Meeting Time: Arrive at the trailhead by 9:45 AM for a prompt 10:00 AM start.

  

What to Bring:

Prepare for the spring conditions by bringing the following essentials:

- Warm layers suitable for hiking (the weather can be fickle) 

- Rainjacket if needed 

- Boots that can get wet and muddy

- Plenty of water

- Snacks or a packed lunch
