Friday Working Hike @ Whipple Mountain Trail

CHAMPLAIN AREA TRAILS has A friday working hike at the whipple Mountain Trail ON december 20th AT 9 AM.

Join Champlain Area Trails in working on the trails at Twin Valleys Outdoor Education Center in Westport, New York. We will walk around a mile, clearing the trails in preparation for the Winter Solstice Luminaria walk. There is a variety of trail work for this project, including lopping and clearing up the trail, as well as some handsawing. At the end of the trail work, we will gather to celebrate our volunteers.

WHAT TO BRING: We will work with loppers, hand saws, and string trimmers, which Champlain Area Trails can provide. Feel free to bring your tools as well. Make sure to bring gloves, protective eye gear (if using a string trimmer), water, and some snacks!
