Second Saturday Volunteer Project @ Lee Park Trail

CHAMPLAIN AREA TRAILS has A second saturday Volunteer project on the lee park trail ON Saturday, december 14th AT 9:00 AM.

Join Champlain Area Trails in repairing the Lee Park Trail in Westport, New York. This trail was damaged in July by heavy flooding. We will target several projects, including working on some rotting stairs, creating a switchback to get to a picnic area by the brook, and some bench cutting. This is a beautiful trail in central Westport, and we look forward to your help fixing it up for the community.

WHAT TO BRING: We will work with loppers, hand saws, and string trimmers, which Champlain Area Trails can provide. Feel free to bring your tools as well. Make sure to bring gloves, protective eye gear (if using a string trimmer), water, and some snacks!

DIRECTIONS:  Park by downtown Westport and we will walk up to the trailhead at the end of Front Street in Westport, NY. Click here for Google Maps directions.   

REGISTRATION: Please register by 6:00 p.m. the day before the event by emailing tony@champlainareatrails.com, but it's also okay to meet us there on Saturday at 9:00 a.m.
