CATSWomen is a volunteer-led group that offers a welcoming environment for women of all ages and abilities to gain confidence in the outdoors through Champlain Area Trails.
Check out this 5-mile out-and-back trail in Ticonderoga, New York. Explore a beautiful and quiet part of the trails in the Adirondacks- a true hidden gem. This hike takes an average of 4 hours to complete. Begin from the Putnam Pond Trailhead near the campground and travel along the southern end of the pond. Enjoy beautiful hiking up this gorgeous ridge right next to a brook on a large glacial mountain on the left up to a conifer forest. This is a moderately challenging hike with an elevation gain of 1,475 feet.

WHAT TO BRING: Be prepared for the start of cold weather hiking with warm layers, lots of water, & some snacks.
