Essex Day Hike @ Essex Gateway Trail

Join us on Saturday, August 3rd, at 9 am at essex gateway trail during essex day.

Start off your Essex Day celebration with guided hike through this beautiful 2.3- mile trail. The Essex Gateway Trail passes through forest, pasture, and open farmland until its terminus at Blockhouse Road. Much of the trail passes through Essex Farm, which is a busy place with cattle, sheep, pigs, and all forms of cultivation. This is a beginner level outing.

DIRECTIONS: From Essex Ferry Parking area, go north on sidewalk along Essex Road 0.2 miles to enter through a fence to forest trail.  Click here for Google Maps directions.
