Working Hike @ Broughton Ledges Trail

CHAMPLAIN AREA TRAILS has A WORKING HIKE on THE broughton ledges trail ON FRIDAY, JUly 19th AT 9 AM.

Join Champlain Area Trails in working on this 6-mile loop in Moriah, New York. The first two miles involve a fair amount of steep climbing, including an interesting view of Ensign Pond and some low mountains in the Hammond Pond Wild Forest. The second stage of the hike is a big four-mile loop that walks below the massive Broughton Ledges. Much of this part of the hike is on old tote roads through beautiful mature forests. This is a more advanced trail. 

WHAT TO BRING: We will work with loppers, hand saws, and string trimmers, which Champlain Area Trails can provide.   Feel free to bring your tools as well.  Make sure to bring gloves, protective eye gear (if using a string trimmer), water, and some snacks!
