Enjoy this 6.2-mile loop trail near Moriah, New York. Generally considered a moderately challenging route, it will take around 3 hours to complete. It is a perfect trail for getting deep in the woods in some wild backcountry. The first two miles involve a fair amount of steep climbing, including an interesting view of Ensign Pond and some low mountains in the Hammond Pond Wild Forest. The second stage of the hike is a big four-mile loop that walks below the massive Broughton Ledges. Much of this part of the hike is on old tote roads through beautiful mature forests.
