Due to the current conditions, we have moved this ski from Bass Lake to Hammond Pond. This is a beautiful trail in the Champlain Valley region in North Hudson. We will ski 1.6 miles out and back to check out the lovely Hammond Pond. Those who wish to continue can join on an additional short ski after to another lake. This outing is recommended for those with some background in cross-country skiing; it is a moderate ski.
REGISTRATION: There is limited space. Click here to register.
DIRECTIONS: Take Exit 29 off I-87 and follow Blue Ridge Road east toward North Hudson, then drive north on Route 9. Continue for 2.5 miles, turn right on county Route 4C, then turn right on Ensign Road. Follow Ensign Road for just over 2.5 miles to the trailhead on the right.

WHAT TO BRING: Dress in good winter layers for skiing. We do not provide skis but can recommend places to rent them if needed. Bring your own cup for hot chocolate at the end.
