Woods & Swale Trail 

   

Description:  The Woods and Swale trail is a short, 2-mile, out-and-back trail that goes through a variety of beautiful, unique forest and through varying terrain. Starting in open hardwoods with some ancient and massive oak and ash trees, the trail descends to a beautiful section of thick undergrowth with an open, tall canopy that hosts an abundance of birds and other wildlife. The trail can be used on its own as an out-and-back or as a connector to nearby trails, like Viall's Crossing or Hemlock Hill, both just a brief walk away on Sherman Rd.

To the North trailhead - go 3/4 miles north on Sherman Rd Westport, NY 12993

South trailhead at the fork of Lakeshore Rd and Sherman Rd.
