Long Valley Trail

     

Description: The Long Valley Trail is a beautiful trail that extends through forest and pasture into the deeper C.A.T.S. (Champlain Area Trails) trail network in Westport. The trail connects to the Field and Forest Trail, and can be done as its own walk or hike or connected to other trails for a longer day. The trail explores many types of forest throughout and is great for birdwatching and other wildlife.

You can gain access from the Long Valley Trailhead on Sayre Road. Alternatively, you can gain access from the Field and Forest Trailhead on the Lewis-Wadhams Road (Cty Rte. 10) ½ mile north of Wadhams or from the Wadhams Lookout Trailhead located about ½ mile northeast of Wadhams on State Rt. 22. At the junction with Field and Forest Trail, take Long Valley Trail.
