Alexis Adamkowski is an undergraduate student at SUNY Plattsburgh and a member of the inaugural class of the Empire Service Corps. This innovative program allows SUNY students to receive compensation while volunteering with local organizations, promoting community service and support.

Originally from the rural areas of western Pennsylvania and central New York, Alexis has developed a passion for botany and the natural world. She is majoring in Art and Anthropology, exploring the intricate connections between nature, culture, and self-understanding. Alexis believes engaging with our environment is essential for personal growth and fosters a deeper appreciation of the world. At CATS, she serves as a part-time Trail Steward Intern for the 24-25 school year, helping to create and maintain trails in Clinton and Essex Counties.
