Ray Johnson

Raymond Johnson is a retired research chemist with a distinguished career at Wyeth and Pfizer Pharmaceutical in Rouses Point and Pearl River, NY. He and his wife, Lola, reside in Chazy, where they enjoy their passive solar home. Committed to environmental conservation, they made a significant impact by donating the first conservation easement to the Champlain Area Trails and providing funds to support its stewardship. Additionally, they expanded this commitment by purchasing 14 more acres to include in the easement.

  

As the founder and director of the Institute of Climate Studies USA, Ray is dedicated to educating the public and fostering discussions about climate change and its effects. He actively promotes awareness through the publication of articles, research initiatives, and presentations of peer-reviewed data. For the past 16 years, he has contributed monthly articles on climate science and energy transition to the Press Republican, with all 190 articles available on the ICS website.
