Cynthia Ford-Johnston

Treasurer

Cynthia is a dedicated educator with roots in Clintonville, New York. She holds a Bachelor of Science in Art Education from SUNY New Paltz, as well as a Master’s degree and a Certificate of Advanced Study (CAS) in Educational Administration from SUNY Plattsburgh. Over her impressive forty-three-year career in education, Cynthia has served in various roles, including art teacher, gifted and talented educator, vice-principal, elementary principal, K-12 principal, and superintendent.

   

Her sixteen-year tenure at Keene Central School ignited her passion for the Adirondacks, where she developed a love for the outdoors alongside her husband, David, through walking and hiking. Since her retirement in July 2023, Cynthia has turned her focus to DaCy Meadow Farm, which she and David founded in 2002 after falling in love with an open hay field in Westport. The farm is known for its beautiful 3.5 miles of CATS  trails, inviting visitors to explore the natural beauty of the area.
