As the retired founding Executive Director, Chris remains with CATS through February in an advisory capacity to assist with the transition and ongoing special projects.
Chris holds a bachelor's degree from DePauw University and a Master's Degree in Environmental Science from Indiana University. For twenty-five years, he worked in various positions with the Nature Conservancy, in Indiana for 15 years, and in the Adirondacks for ten years. In 2009 he helped establish and became the first executive director of Champlain Area Trails. He has served on the boards of Sycamore Land Trust, Central Indiana Land Trust, NY's Lake Champlain Citizens' Advisory Committee, Boquet River Association, Westport Library (president), Ballard Park Association, Eddy Foundation, and the Town of Westport Planning Board.
