Experience Nature and Creativity: Join Author Derick Lugo for a Unique Hike and Write Event

  

Join us on Saturday, March 21st, at 1 p.m. for a Hike and Write Event!

  

Come celebrate the first day of Spring outdoors with Triple Crown through-hiker and author Derick Lugo, as we celebrate the beauty of nature and the art of storytelling in partnership with Champlain Area Trails. We'll kick off the event with a scenic hike of around 3 miles along the Vialls Crossing Trail, allowing you to immerse yourself in the tranquil surroundings, learn about the operations of nearby Wollecru Farm, and connect with fellow outdoor enthusiasts. 

 

After our hike, we'll gather at Snowfort Books for a unique writing session where you can reflect on your experiences and express your thoughts inspired by the trail. The writing session is optional; feel free to join just for the hike, just for the write, or both! Oboz Footwear will provide snacks and warm beverages to fuel our creativity. Additionally,  Farm to Feet Socks will provide a free pair of socks to the first 15 people who register before Monday, March 9th, and attend the event.  Come and be a part of this special event that combines the serenity of the great outdoors with the joy of artistic expression. We can’t wait to see you there!

  

WHAT TO BRING:

-Wear layers! Dress appropriately for an early Spring hike with the possibility of hiking in snow

-Hydration: Bring water for the hike

-Bring a journal and pen for the writing session (optional) at Snowfort 

  

HOW TO GET THERE:

The hike will start at the Vialls Crossing trailhead at 1 pm.
