Join us on Friday, March 6th, at 10:30 a.m. for a Hemlock Woolly Adelgid Hike with the Adirondack Park Invasive Plant Program (APIPP)
Join Champlain Area Trails (CATS) and the Adirondack Park Invasive Plant Program (APIPP) for a hands-on Hemlock Woolly Adelgid (HWA) educational hike and Forest Pest Hunter survey training on the scenic Black Kettle Trail in Essex, NY.
Get outside and make a difference! This 2-mile, moderate outing is the perfect way to explore the beauty of our local trails while learning how to spot and report invasive pests that threaten the Adirondacks. We’ll teach you how to identify hemlocks and signs of HWA, and show you how to use the iMapInvasives app to contribute valuable data for conservation.
