This month, we will delve into "A Place Called Yellowstone", a historical overview of how the world's first national park came to be, by author Randall K Wilson. The purpose of the conservation book club is to gather and create community around a shared appreciation of environmental literature.

From "A Place Called Yellowstone" discover how Yellowstone National Park became a national icon, covering events from the colossal volcanic eruption that formed the caldera to the conflicts over land, the establishment of the national park system, and the ongoing tension between commercialism and conservation.
