Saranac Woods Trail 

    

Description:   This pleasant and easy two-mile trail network passes through fields and hardwood forests, and along the top of a ravine with the Park Avenue Trail.  There are some beautiful views of Whiteface Mountain from the western field.  There is a small parking area off the road for one to two cars.

    

Directions:  Click here for Google Maps. The trailhead is located on Bucks Corner Road in the town of Saranac, about a 20-minute drive west of Plattsburgh.  To reach Bucks Corner Road from Plattsburgh, take Rte. 3 for twelve miles west out of downtown Plattsburgh.  Follow Bucks Corner Road west for two miles to the trailhead, which will be on the north side of the road.
