Janet Mallon and her husband Chris live in Putnam Station. She retired from Ticonderoga Central School District where she taught 7th grade Life Science and 8th grade Regents Biology. She also served on the Presque Isle Audubon Society Board of Directors. Janet currently serves on one additional not for profit board: the Putnam Founders Dollars for Scholars board, which raises money to support students in Putnam who graduate from Ticonderoga High School and seek to go on to college or post-high school education. She enjoys riding her horse "My T Bunny" and her 5-year-old West Highland White Terrier Gus keeps her plenty busy! Janet enjoys gardening but she does not like to hike! She prefers going on casual, meandering walks in nature in the Champlain Valley. She is walking proof that CATS Trails attract a wide variety of user groups, from avid hikers to nature and wildlife enthusiasts.
Janet’s favorite trail is the Essex Quarry Nature Preserve system of trails.
